Purpose
To empower, educate, and promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem for the Charlotte of tomorrow through casual networking, high-quality programming, and practical member education.
We help less experienced members navigate their career paths toward the goal of business ownership. We help more experienced members create a strategy to buy an existing company or earn their way into ownership. We do all of this through education.
Origin Story
The Charlotte ETA Group started informally as a Meetup on August 15, 2024. Over the course of several months (and after a brain tumor scare!), our Founder & Executive Director had a vision to formalize the group into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with the collaboration of our inspiring Board Members in January 2025. Too often, "searchers are the product." Not here.
As of the publication of this site, The Charlotte ETA Group has 190+ members.
Who We Serve
The Charlotte ETA Group is open to all. We serve aspiring business owners and the ecosystem around them to do whatever it takes to achieve their dream of business ownership via high-quality education and authentic connections.
We also collaborate with existing small business owners seeking creative ways to grow and improve their companies by mentoring our members (aspiring business owners).
We are forever grateful to the Rand Larsen for co-hosting the inaugural Meetup, as well as Adam Markley who we have admired from afar for setting the standard for Meetups in Denver.
